Everything you need

Inktails was a lucky Mouse. Even though he didn't have very much, it was everything he needed. A safe place to sleep.

Enough food to stop his tummy rumbling. And the wisdom to always treat others with kindness.

A little compassion

One bitter night, whilst outdoors,

underneath a snowy sky.

Inktails saw a little white dog

with a dark patch on one eye.

It was half inside an upturned bin,

alone and looking lost.

Which worried mouse a little,

because that night there was frost.

Inktails asked would it like shelter

in a place with warm, dry straw.

Then he gave the dog a biscuit,

in return it gave its paw.
